Bobby Cogburn

Bobby Cogburn, age 72, of Glenwood, went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 1, 2025.

He was born on August 11, 1953 in Glenwood. Bobby was the son of Dempsey Cogburn and Doshie Wehunt Cogburn. He is preceded in death by his parents; his two wives, Joyce Cogburn and Sarah "Sadie" Cogburn; and his four siblings, James Lee Cogburn, Lena Cogburn, Truman Cogburn, and Wesley Cogburn. 

Bobby was a member of Hilltop Assembly of God Church. His biggest passion was owning and training racehorses. He truly loved horse racing. He was a logger for many years. He enjoyed playing the guitar, singing, and going to the Glenwood Senior Citizen Center. He loved his dog, Betty Boop. Bobby will be missed by all who knew and loved him. 

He is survived by his four children, Billy Jack Cogburn, Christy Banks, Lisa Ford, and Alan Hunter; his siblings, Katherine Garner, Loretta Hook, Betty McDaniels, Lamanda Stovall, Mary White, Joe D. Cogburn, Donnie Cogburn, AJ Cogburn, and Jack Cogburn; his stepmother, Diane Cogburn; and many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and a host of wonderful friends.

Visitation will be held prior to services on Friday, September 5, 2025 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Smith Family Funeral Home Chapel- Glenwood.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, September 5, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Smith Family Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Eric Wehunt officiating. 

Interment will be held at Fancy Hill Cemetery.
