Bobby was born September 11, 1963, in Lubbock, Texas, to Jimmie and Betty Eakin. He married Lora Eakin on June 4, 1982, in Greenville, Texas. He was the property manager at Greenville Club Lake.
He is survived by his wife, Lora Eakin; son, Jeremy Eakin and girlfriend, Kelsey Kaiser; daughter, Melissa Honeycutt and husband, Trey; mother, Betty Eakin; brothers, Norman Eakin and David Eakin and wife, Tiffany; grandchildren, Loran Strickler, Trent Honeycutt, and Ayla Strickler; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jimmie Eakin; and sister, Rhonda Eakin.
Pallbearers will be Tim Brumit, Ray Crabtree, Brad Harrison, John Henderson, David Moore, Randy Phillips, Robin Richardson, and Brent Sandlin.
