It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Bobby Edwards of McBee. Graveside services will be held Sunday at 3:00 at the McBee Cemetery directed by Norton Funeral Home. Rev. Charlie Short will officiate. Visitation will be Saturday 4-6 at the funeral home.
Bobby was born in McBee a son of the late Albert Eli Edwards and Mary Ella Horton Edwards. He was an Auto Mechanic since he was 12 years of age. He enjoyed studying family history and that of others. He was named by the McBee Lions Club as McBee Outstanding Citizen of the Year in 2005. Bobby was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
Surviving is his wife of 65 years, Hattie Gardner Edwards, McBee; one daughter, Kay (Eddie) Edwards, McBee; one son, William (Gail) Edwards, McBee; four grandchildren, Ashley Starling, Sharon Outlaw, Katie Tyner and Jacob Cooley; six great grandchildren, Connor, Kison, Troy, Gracee, Charlotte and Jack; one sister, Ann Ousley, McBee.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother Johnny Edwards; three sisters, Betty Snead, Judy Galloway and Sue Jordan.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Crescent Hospice and especially Crystal, Jessica, Teri and Shonda.
