Mr. Bobby Gene Fail

Mr. Bobby Gene Fail, 89, of Warrenville, SC, husband of the late Althea Sheffield Fail, entered into rest on Tuesday, March 19, 2024.
A lifelong resident of Aiken County, SC, he was a son of the late Allen W., Sr. and Emily Campbell Fail. A former Machinist, he retired from Georgia Iron Works with over twenty-nine years of service. He proudly and with honor served his country in the South Carolina Army National Guard. Bobby was a very well-known and talented musician. He was happiest when he was bending some strings, singing, writing songs, gospel singing in the mountains and animated toys. Let us also not forget trips to Hardee's and Captain D's. However, nothing made him happier than spending time with his family. He was a member of Mercy Gate Church, formerly Bath Pentecostal Holiness Church.
In addition to his wife and parents, family members include his children, Sandra Kay Fail and her companion, Robin Cowart, Barbara Richardson and her husband, Brian and the late Linda Sandifer, sister, Joyce Mathis and her husband, Hillman, grandchildren and their spouses, Rainee M. and Eric Hicks, Wesley and Haleigh Sandifer, Jacob Sandifer, Matthew Richardson, Ashley and Sam Grimes and the late Jeremy Owens and great-grandchildren, Mallory Hicks, Weston Owens, Stella Grace Owens, Bennett Sandifer, Kinsleigh Sandifer, Bradley Grimes and Adalyn Grimes.
The family will greet friends on Saturday, March 23, 2024, beginning at 1 o'clock at Mercy Gate Church, (formerly Bath Pentecostal Holiness Church) 3755 Jefferson Davis Highway, Graniteville, SC. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 2 o'clock at the church. Brother Bill Branch will officiate. Interment, with Veterans Honors accorded by a United States Army Honor Guard, will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Graniteville, SC. Pastor Pennye Duncan will officiate. Pallbearers will be Brian Richardson, Robin Cowart, William Mathis, Eric Hicks, Matthew Richardson, Wesley Sandifer, and Jacob Sandifer.
