Bobby Dean Graves, 88, a retired Bell Helicopter plant supervisor, died Tuesday
morning April 3, 2024 at his home on Palo Pinto Lake.
SERVICES: Visitation 10AM Tuesday April 9, 2024 at Lone Camp Baptist Church
with a Celebration of Life service following at 11AM. Graveside interment to
follow at the Santo Cemetery on FM4.
Bobby was born December 26, 1935 in Ft. Worth. He was committed Christian
and a longtime member of Lone Camp Baptist Church. He married the love of his
life, Jouwellia Wallace, on April 3, 1953 and the good Lord blessed them with 4
children, all boys. Being the son of a Pastor, he moved around to several places
and graduated from Duncanville High School while his Dad was pastoring a church
in the area. Bobby was a veteran of the Korean War and was very proud of his
service during this time. He later went to work for and retired from Bell
Helicopter in 1997 after 38 years of employment. He and his wife retired to a life
on Palo Pinto Lake and loved his time visiting an area on the Colorado River in
Bend Texas. His love for fishing was passed down to his boys and resulted in
many large Catfish hauls.
During his early years as a Dad he spent many years coaching his boys in football,
baseball and boxing. He enjoyed this time very much and continued to remember
those days up until his expiration.
Mr. Graves was preceded in death his wife, Jouwellia Wallace Graves, son Donnie
Graves, brothers Paul and Philip Graves and sister Shirley Graves Shelton.
He is survived by his sons, Benny Graves of Weatherford, Larry Graves of Wylie
and Gary Graves of Dallas, brother Richard Graves and sister Sharon Booker of
North Richland Hills. He is also survived by 9 grand-children, 21 great-grand-
children and 2 great-great-grand-children.
