Funeral services for Bobby Gwin, Sr., 84 of Baskin, LA will be 2 PM Friday, May 16, 2025, at Dennard Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Paul Perry officiating with interment to follow in Coax Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-7 PM Thursday, May 15, 2025, at Dennard First National Funeral Home Winnsboro, LA.
Mr. Bobby a member of Coax Baptist Church, was born February 5, 1941, in Natchez, MS to the union of the late Gus Gwin and the late Verna Gwin. He was a carpenter building houses all over the parish. He loved fishing, hunting, traveling, horses, and cattle. But he truly enjoyed watching every game he could of his kids and grandchildren played, and if they weren't playing, he'd find a game of somebody else he knew.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, William Gwin, Raymond Gwin.
Mr. Bobby is survived by the mother of his children Gussie Gwin of Baskin, LA, son Bobby Gwin, Jr. and wife Rosie, daughters Connie Gwin, and Janet Jarrette and husband Joey all of Baskin, LA; grandchildren, Wesley Gwin and Rylee, Brandy Albritton and husband Nathan, Brian Turbeville, Jordan Wilson and husband Josh, Jason Jarrette and wife Taylor, and Jesalyn Stephens and husband Drew; great grandchildren, Allee Poitevint and husband Reid, Aubree Ashton, Blaze Turbeville, Kyler Roberts, Gunner Wilson, Sawyer Wilson, Jacie Wilson, Jennings Jarrette, and Addison Jarrette; one great great grandson, Rhett Poitevint. Several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Pallbearers will be Brandy Albritton, Wesley Gwin, Jason Jarrette, Drew Stephens, Brian Turbeville, and Josh Wilson.
Honorary pallbearers are Jennings Jarrette, Rhett Poitevint, Blaze Turbeville, Gunner Wilson, and Sawyer Wilson.
