Bobby R. Hartman, Jr., age 71, of Russellville, Missouri, passed away on Friday, May 12, 2023, at his residence.
Bobby was born May 21, 1951, at the old St. Mary’s Hospital in Jefferson City, a son of John R. Hartman, Sr. and Irmalene June (Crocker) Rudroff.
Bobby was a 1969 graduate of Jefferson City High School. After high school he attended Lincoln University.
He served his country during the Vietnam War on the USS Shangri-La in the United States Navy from 1969 to 1973 until he was honorably discharged.
Bobby worked for Labors Union Local 662 as a General Foreman until his retirement.
He was one of the original organizers for Cystic Fibrosis Hoof-A-Thon. He was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and was a Disabled American Veteran (DAV) life member.
Bobby enjoyed going to country music concerts and hanging out with his family and friends.
He is survived by his mother, Irmalene (Allen) Rudroff, Jefferson City; his beloved animal companion Regan; a brother, Lonnie Hartman, Lohman; nephew, Travis Hartman; great niece, McCayla Hartman; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Bobby was preceded in death by his father; one brother, Edward Royce Hartman; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Hartman; and a great niece, Alicia Marie Hartman.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at Trimble Funeral Homes - Russellville.
Funeral Service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at Trimble Funeral Homes - Russellville with Pastor Ed Merckel officiating.
Burial with military honors will be at Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.
Memorials are suggested to Central MO Honor Flight or to Gentiva Hospice.
