Bobby Hester Obituary

He was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War and formerly a member of the Arkansas National Guards. After more than 30 years of service, he retired from AFCO Metals and enjoyed woodworking, watching westerns, and fishing with family.
He is preceded in death by his son, James Ritchie; father, Wiley Hester; mother, Verda Glass; brothers, Willis Hester and Jody Hester; sisters, Ravi Wooten and Faye Roberts; great grandson, Baylor Hesson; and stepdad, Roy Glass.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at Bulger Funeral Home with burial at Fort Smith National Cemetery at 1:00 pm, under the direction of Bulger Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5:00 – 6:00 pm on Monday, June 10, 2024, at Bulger Funeral Home.
Bobby is survived by his wife, Velma Hester of the home; son, Blane Ritchie of Fort Smith, Arkansas; daughters, Samantha Hester and Jessica Ritchie, both of Booneville; bonus daughter, Dawn Marie Ritchie of Booneville; brother, Caroll Hester of Pea Ridge, Arkansas; 19 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
