George Author Terry, 82, of Booneville, Arkansas passed away on Thursday, August 21, 2025. He was born on September 30, 1942, in Sugar Grove, Arkansas to the late Bill and Jane Terry.

He had retired from the Army National Guard and previously worked in the oil fields and timber industries. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, restoring vintage vehicles, watching western movies, attending Bearcat football games, and spending time with family.

He is preceded in death by his daughter, Georgena Hester; brothers, Cecil, Recil, J.A., Chester, and James Lee Terry; sisters, Mary Terry and Mabel McAnally; granddaughter, RhyLeigh Ann Terry; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be held at Lick Creek Cemetery in Booneville on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at 10:00 am., under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home.

George is survived by his wife of 63 years, Francis Terry of the home; sons, Hud Terry (Beth) and Billy Dan Terry (Patricia), both of Sugar Grove; son in law, Cecil Hester of Booneville daughters, Della Neve of Sugar Grove, Susan King (John) of Sugar Grove, Kay Dobbs (Jeb) of Booneville, Lawanda Cox of Sugar Grove, Stephanie Capo of Booneville, Nikki Murphy (Corey) of Fort Smith, Tosha Wilson (Casey) of Fort Smith, Shelby Terry of Booneville, Clara Rongey of Booneville, and Cinder Hollis of Muldrow, Oklahoma; brothers, Reed Terry of Booneville, Junior Terry of Sugar Grove, and Steve Terry of Sugar Grove; 53 grandchildren; 85 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers: Cecil Hester, Jeb Dobbs, John King, Shane Angel, Tyler Dobbs, Jus Oliver, Bill Terry, Lane Oliver, Robert Mushgrove.

Honorary Pallbearers: Hud Terry, Billy Terry, Reed Terry, Jr. Terry, Steve Terry, Frank Terry, Deeb McConnell, Billy Michaels, Butch Walker.
