Bobby Lee Kightlinger

Funeral services for Bobby Lee Kightlinger, 88, of Coushatta, LA will be held at 12:30 P.M. Saturday, February 1, 2025 at Rockett-Nettles Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. James Hester officiating and Milton Slocum and Parker Still assisting. Interment will follow in Social Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11 A.M. until 12 P.M. on Saturday at the funeral home.
Mr. Kightlinger was born August 15, 1936 in Henderson, TX and passed away January 28, 2025. Mr. Kightlinger worked as a surgical assistant and clinic perfusionist for 57 years. In his pastime, he excelled in the craft of woodworking. He enjoyed making wooden crosses and sharing with others. Mr. Kightlinger was an active member of Social Springs Baptist Church and was affectionately known as "Mr. Bob" to the children. He loved his family, as well as his church family, and enjoyed spending time with them. He will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Laverne Kightlinger; two brothers, Paul Kightlinger and Harry Bert "Bobo" Kightlinger; and one sister, Elizabeth "Libby" Mau Kightlinger.
Mr. Kightlinger is survived by his wife, Martha Kightlinger; children, Richard Kightlinger, Vanessa Kightlinger, Milton Slocum, and Mack Slocum; grandchildren: Caryn Kightlinger, John Slocum and wife Kayla, Caleb Slocum and wife Kaci, Becky Kendrick and husband Tom, Will Slocum, Matthew Slocum, Gage Beatty, and Daimen Moody and wife Haley; six great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law: Billy Barbee and wife Libby, Vivien Swant and husband Billy Joe, Mignonne Owens and husband Mike and Yvonne Rickard.
Pallbearers will be Richard Kightlinger, John Slocum, Caleb Slocum, Mack Slocum, Matthew Slocum, and Tom Kendrick. Honorary pallbearers will be Social Springs Baptist Church Men's Bible Study Group.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to the Samaritan's Purse or the charity of your choice.
