Mr. Bobby Lee McCloud

Bobby Lee McCloud, 88, went to his heavenly home on Friday, November 10, 2023 at the Margaret Z. Dozier Big Bend Hospice House, surrounded by his loved ones.
He was born on April 9, 1935 in Richlands, Virginia to Thomas Jefferson and Mary Edna Harless McCloud.
Bob was a veteran who served in the US Army during the Korean War. After his tour of duty ended, he met his loving wife of sixty-seven years at a baseball game in Mount Carmel, Tennessee. Following the birth of their two sons, they moved to Tallahassee, where Bob was employed at Rose Printing Company.
A lover of sports and an avid outdoorsman, Bob spent most of his time on the golf course and in his garden. He also enjoyed coaching/umpiring youth sports and adult softball with TPRD. A booster for many years, Bob loved his Florida State Seminoles.
Later in life, his greatest pleasure was spending time with his grandchildren and attending all of their sporting events. To the delight of his family, he took great pride in covering his expansive yard with Christmas lights during the holidays. He loved front-porch sitting and sharing stories of his past.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents and his nine elder siblings. He is survived by his wife, Shelby Jean Fields McCloud; son, Montgomery McCloud (Carol); son, Ronnie McCloud (Kerry); granddaughter, Kacie McCloud; grandson, Kenneth McCloud (Lauren); grandson, Cody McCloud; and great-grandson, Kenneth McCloud. He leaves his family with beautiful memories of a life fully lived.
A service to honor Bob will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 16, 2023 at Tallahassee National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Big Bend Hospice, 1723 Mahan Center Blvd., Tallahassee, FL 32308 or https://bigbendhospice.charityproud.org/Donate.
