Bobby was born January 5, 1953 in Anson County, NC and was a son of the late Thomas Morris and the late Lucille Hightower Morris. He attended Morven Schools and was a graduate of Anson High School.
A well-known carpenter in and around Anson County, he was an excellent cabinet maker and could do just about anything when it came to wood working and home projects. He also enjoyed farming, raising animals and growing gourds. When not working, you could find him sitting under the shade tree at home with his faithful companions, Georgia and Sadie, his dogs.
Those who are left to cherish his memory are his nephews, Chris Morris and wife, Sherry of Salem, VA; his great-nephew, Seth Morris and wife, Brianna of Shawsville, VA; his great-niece, Alexis Morris and fiance', William Daugherty of Salem, VA and his step-niece, Shannon Henry of Lilesville; his close friends, Billy Gathings, Punk Horne and Hunter Taylor and his cousins and their families.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law, Ronnie and Julie Morris.
Bobby will be remembered as a quiet simple man. On Thursday prior to his passing, the hospital chaplain asked him how he would like for her to pray for him and his answer was, "For His will to be done". His family and friends are comforted in knowing Bobby's prayer was answered.
