Bobby Phillips age 63 of Adamsville passed away on July 23, 2025.

He was born on December 7, 1961 to Melvin and Beatrice Phillips. He grew up in the Forestdale community and graduated from Minor High School. Bobby worked as a mechanic for the City of Adamsville, where he also resided for over thirty years.

Bobby is survived by son, Justin Phillip (Lacey): grandchildren, Harper, Colton, and Knox Phillips; mother, Beatrice Phillips, sisters, Jan Phillips, Kathy Vest; nephews, Joseph and Jeremy Vest.

He is preceded in death by his father, Melvin Phillips and sister, Barbara Chafin.

Bobby grew up working on cars and riding motorcycles. He worked on cars with his dad from a young age and developed a love for race cars, especially Corvettes. He could fix and build just about anything with an engine. He had a passion for his motorcycle and never lost his love for riding.

Bobby was a loving and supportive father and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his cherished family. He relished moments watching and encouraging his granddaughter perform at her dance recitals. Days spent teaching the family to ride motorcycles, or supporting their efforts in motocross activities as both spectator and a crew-hand/mechanic gave him great joy and excitement. Being the only son, and having that special mother/son bond, he was devoted to his mother and spent time with her almost everyday.

Many people knew and respected Bobby in the community for his character, work ethic, and skills and proficiency. He was dependable and trustworthy, and people knew they could count on him in times of need to lend a helping hand. He will truly be missed by both his family and friends in his hometown. Rest in peace, Bobby.
