Bobby Gene Sheppard

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Bobby Gene Sheppard, who left us peacefully on August 5th, 2025 at the age of 72. Born in Chiefland Florida on September 17, 1952. Bobby was a beloved parent, grandparent, and friend.

Bobby led a life of love and devotion to family, nature, and tradition. He was known for his good work ethic, and enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially listening to a pack of deer dogs burning a deer trail up. Whether hunting, fishing, or tending to the yard, Bobby also found joy in nurturing family bonds and could often be found hosting gatherings, sharing meals, and making memories.

He was a skilled cook, an avid gardener and passed on a wealth of knowledge when it came to cooking and canning. His canned jalapenos and pepper salad were to die for. These homemade recipes will be treasured for years to come.

Bobby was preceded in death by his father, Bob Marcus Sheppard, and mother, Marion Louise Bailey Sheppard. Bobby is survived by his children Jamie Sheppard (Shannon), Tonya Lockman, Jessica Aiken ( Deaton), Bobby Sheppard (Tosha), and Amber Calvert. Bobby is also survived by 3 brothers, one sister, numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

The family will have a private celebration of life at a later date.
