Bobby Joe Spires, 74, lifelong resident of Columbia, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 11, 2025 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Born May 19, 1951 in Columbia, TN, he was the son of the late Paul Rodgers Spires and the late Rosie Viola Wiley Spires.
He is survived by daughters, Sharon Gagnard and Rose Matthews; son Bobby Joe “B.J.” Spires Jr.; nieces, Kathy Harper, Tammy McEvers, Tina Harlach, Mary McClain; nephew Donnie Spires; and several grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by seven sisters, and a brother.
