Bobette Nagel Manees passed away peacefully on May 11, 2025. She was born on June 16, 1947, in Dermott, Arkansas, to Thomas Duane Nagel and Bonnie Ruth Harden Nagel.
A proud graduate of Dermott High School, Bobette continued her education at Arkansas A&M College (now the University of Arkansas at Monticello) and later earned her master's degree from Arkansas State Teachers College (now the University of Central Arkansas). She dedicated her career to education, teaching for many years in the Little Rock and Pulaski County school districts, where she touched countless lives with her passion for learning and commitment to her students.
Bobette was also an active and devoted member of the Daughter's of the American Revolution (DAR) and the P.E.O. Sisterhood, organizations that reflected her love of history, education, and community service.
She is lovingly remembered by her brother, Tommy Nagel (Stephanie); her niece, Mary Elizabeth Moots (Tom); her nephew, Thomas Nagel; and her great-niece, Charlotte Moots, all of Germantown. She also leaves behind many cherished cousins and dear friends.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at Dermott Cemetery in Dermott, AR. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Dermott Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 324, Dermott, Arkansas 71638. You can sign Mrs. Bobette's guestbook registry on this website.
