Bobie Edwards Obituary

Bobie Lee was the Superintendent of Service at The Tides Inn for 36 years, and Assistant Produce Manager at Tri-Star Supermarket for 18 years. He was also a lifetime member of the Kilmarnock – Lancaster Rescue Squad.
Bobie Lee was preceded in death by his parents, Norvel and Ruth Lee Edwards, his sister Betty E. Martin, and his brother Roy Edwards. He is survived by three daughters, Denise E. Robertson (Jimmy) of Irvington, Bella M. Edwards of Weems, and Hope E. George (James) of White Stone; grandchildren Jonathan James George (Maggie), Bobby Lee George (Megan), Joshua Ryan George, James Monroe Robertson, IV (Allie); great-grandchildren Kamryn Ora George and James Monroe Robertson, V, Atlas Grove George, and McKenzie Marie Hughes.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at Currie Funeral Home in Kilmarnock. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, and there will be a reception following the services at Irvington Baptist Church in Irvington.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Riverside Hospice, 4719A Richmond Rd, Warsaw, VA 22572 or Irvington Baptist Church, PO Box 417, Irvington, VA 22480.
