This April 15th we said goodbye to Bonita Holt-Samuelson, if you knew her she made you smile. She was a sister, mother, grandmother, Aunt, Cousin, and a friend. She was passionate about the beach, traveling, and socializing with her friends.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, 2 sons, 4 grandchildren, 4 nephews and a niece, and an older brother and sister. Many of her cousins are located in Missouri and were always in communication and checking in on each other. She spoke often about the "cousin" or family reunions. She always made a point to visit.
She was a dedicated employee with St. Michael School (Indianapolis), and Herff Jones where she blessed them with her joy and ability to get things done.
In her retirement, she enjoyed traveling, the beach, tanning and shopping at her favorite department stores. She was always the friend that wanted to have lunch with you, meet you to walk around the mall, or just watch the indoor ice skaters. She really enjoyed traveling to see her Lafayette Jefferson High School (IN) classmates. She was proud of her Lafayette, Indiana roots. She remained in contact with many of her classmates and she was your friend and biggest fan. Bonnie spent much of her time keeping in contact with so many of her snow bird friends She began snow birding in the early 2000's and eventually became a Florida resident full time. Her friends and family enjoyed many conversations and visits over the years.
She will live on through the laughter and love she brought to all our lives. Let us honor her by carrying forward her perseverance, friendship, kindness, and embracing every moment with the same positivity she tried to demonstrate.
In lieu of flowers the family asks for correspondence to be emailed to [email protected].
