Bonnie Rose Baier
Medicine Lodge - Bonnie Rose (Pullan) Baier was born August 1, 1935 in Cleo Springs, Oklahoma. She passed away on August 26th at Medicine Lodge Memorial Hospital surrounded by family. She was the daughter of Raymond and Ada (Beagely) Pullan. Bonnie has 4 sisters and 5 brothers - Alberta, Gladys, Margaret, Mary Lou, Oscar, Billy Ray, Franklin, Jack, and R.L. Pullan. Growing up, Bonnie and her siblings were very active in Aline Christian Church. Bonnie was also active in sports in high school. She played tennis, where she medaled in singles, mixed, and doubles. She also played basketball, starting when she was in 6th grade up until she graduated. After high school, Bonnie went to Cosmetology School where she graduated in advanced hair design. In 1955, she married Sam Baier. They had 4 children, Jeffrey, Troy, Tavy, and Kristy. Aside from working in oil paints, wood carving, woodworking, and cooking, Bonnie was an avid gardener. She had large gardens and enjoyed taking care of her flowers and vegetables. She had a love of cooking and loved teaching her grandchildren everything she could. When Sam lost his arm in 1962, Bonnie became his left arm. She became his helper in and out work. She did whatever was needed. Bonnie and Sam later attended Community Bible Fellowship, where she was also very active. Bonnie was active in the community. She helped with 4-H and was a leader in the Lone Eagle 4-H club. She was a member of Union Chapel Church and served on the board. Bonnie belonged to the Ladies Aid club, congenial club, pilot club and many others. Bonnie was the assistant funeral director at Larrison Funeral Home for a number of years. She cherished her family, friends, and was proud of all her work.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Sam, her parents, Raymond and Ada, her brothers Oscar, Billy Ray, Franklin, and R.L., her sisters, Alberta, Margaret, and Mary Lou, 3 sister-in-laws Marge Lukens, Donna Garten, and Beulah Adams and daughter-in-law, Rose Baier, and Tommy Tomson.
She is survived by her children, Jeffrey Baier of
Medicine Lodge, KS, Troy (Verna) Baier of Cabot, AR, Tavy (Brad) McCracken of Alva, OK and Kristy Tomson of Medicine Lodge, Fourteen grandchildren, Clint (Melissa) Baier, Kyla (Jarred) Hemphill, Todd (Sabrina) Freeman, Tatum (Mike) Stafford, Shane (Cody) Baier, Justin (Raychele) Baier, Angela Seward, Amy (Brent) Brandon, Michelle (Eric) Gunn, Alan White, Matthew (Katie) Tomson, Keegan (Alex Veith) Lynch, & Paige (Sean) Engler, and multiple great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Thursday, August, 28th, 2025, from 1 p.m to 7 p.m., with family present from 5-6 p.m. at Larrison Funeral Home, 120 E. Lincoln,
Medicine Lodge, KS 67104.
Funeral services will be on Friday, August 29th, 2025, at 2:00p.m. at the Community Bible Fellowship,
Medicine Lodge, KS with Pastor Dwain Richert officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Highland Cemetery. The family requests casual western attire for all attending. Memorials may be made to Community Bible Fellowship, in care of Larrison Funeral Home, 120 E Lincoln,
