Bonnie Rose Chase, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on August 14, 2025, at the age of 82. Born on December 6, 1942, in Frederick, Md., Bonnie was a cherished member of her community, which she graced with her warmth, kindness, and steadfast faith in the Lord.

Bonnie dedicated much of her professional life to the University of Illinois, where she retired as a clerk in the Accounting Department. Her commitment to her work was rivaled only by her devotion to family and friends. She took immense pride in her role within her family, fostering deep connections and making countless memories that will be treasured for years to come.

An enthusiastic supporter of the arts, Bonnie found joy in music and was a proud member of the choir at Saint Marcelline Catholic Church in Schaumburg, Illinois. Her love for singing was complemented by her passion for reading, and she delighted in attending Frankie Valli concerts with friends and family.

Bonnie is survived by her son, Fred W. Chase; her brother, Thomas Bell, and his wife, Jane; her grandchildren, Alejandra Belmontes, Naomi Belmontes, and Victor Belmontes; and her great-granddaughter, Nina Gonzales. She is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, and a host of friends who will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Frederick Carlton Chase; her father, William Herald Bell; her mother, Elva Jane Bell; her daughter, Deborah Ann Belmontes; and her brother, William Bell. Their memories live on in the hearts of those who loved her.

Bonnie Rose Chase's legacy will continue to inspire and uplift those she touched throughout her life, as she leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering faith.

A visitation for Bonnie will be held Friday, August 22, 2025 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at H.M. Patterson & Son - Oglethorpe Hill, 4550 Peachtree Road NE, Atlanta, GA 30319. Following the visitation will be a graveside service at 2:00 pm at Westview Cemetery Inc.
