Bonnie L. Dodson, 72, passed away June 18, 2025. She was born in Akron to the late William and Edna Mae (Myers) Manuel. She resided in Georgia for 30 years and was a manager at Sears for 20 years. She also proudly earned her Disney University certificate, where she worked for 10 years while she lived in Florida.

Preceded in death by her husband, Johnny, she is survived by her children, Renee (Ron) Ickes, Rodney (Ruth) Ford and Robin Lynn (Chad) Eaton; grandchildren, Chaz Fr. Spyridon (Sarah), Owen, Riley, Chelsie (Jeff), Caitlin (Caleb) and Kylee; great-grandchildren, Lazarus, Nektaria and Kinsleigh; sister, Connie (Michael) Leary; brother, Greg (Terry) Manuel; former husband, Rod (Sheila) Ford; and many other loving relatives and friends.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, June 22, 2025 from 2 – 4 p.m. at the Eckard Baldwin Funeral Home and Chapel, 760 E. Market St., Akron OH 44305. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 24 at 11 a.m. at Linwood Baptist Church, 18 N. Steele St., LaFayette, GA 30728, with Pastor Jon Alverson officiating. Calling hours will be at church for one hour prior to the service, from 10 – 11 a.m. with burial at Little Prospect Memorial Gardens in Dalton, GA.
