Obituary published on Legacy.com by Wyman Cremation & Burial Chapel on Oct. 11, 2024.
Bonnie Brown Domin nee' Zimmerman
Bonnie Domin was born in Minden, Nevada, on May 2, 1946. Bonnie is preceded in death by her parents, Doris Beeby (2011), Alex Brown III (1951), Ken Beeby-step father (2016), brother Geoff Brown (2003), first husband Mark Zimmerman (2010)) and husband Mark Domin (2006). Bonnie is survived by sons Eric Zimmerman (Jessica) and Chris Zimmerman, Grandchildren Garett, Ella and Walker; Her brother Alex Brown IV and sister Anne Beeby (Sam) and Sister-in-law Carol Brown.
Bonnie grew up in Tempe and graduated Tempe High School in 1964. She earned a teaching degree from Arizona State University and taught in the Tempe School District. Fairly early on she was certified and taught in the gifted program at Ward School.
The family moved to Rancho Palos Verdes, CA for a couple years, but decided to move back to Tempe where Bonnie finished teaching at Meyer Elementary School and McKemy Junior High. Bonnie was the co-author of several books created for teachers of the gifted.
When Bonnie retired she started volunteering at the Assistance League of East Valley. She would end up being the manager of the ALEV Thrift Shop for several years and absolutely loved working there!
Bonnie was smart, funny, hard working and absolutely loved her grandchildren. It seemed she always had a puppy on her lap. She had many friends that she made along the way.
Bonnie had liver surgery in August and never recovered. She died September 30th in hospice with Eric and Chris by her side. She will be missed by so many for a long long time.

Bonnie and I were classmates in Tempe. A life well lived, dedicated and accomplished. So glad you kept your sense of humor and love of puppies! Condolences to family. God bless.
