Bonnie Lou Lykins

Bonnie Lou Lykins, passed away on October 7, 2025, at the age of 67. Born on August 22, 1958, to the late James Henry Moore and Billow Mae McSorley Hall, Bonnie's life was a testament to the power of family and the joy of unconditional love.

Bonnie was a devoted wife to her husband, Michael Blair, with whom she shared her life's journey. Her legacy is continued through her loving sons Christopher and Jeremy Lykins, her daughter Summer Lykins, and the memories she shared with her predeceased daughters, Tanya Marcum and Fonda Hesson. Bonnie's life was further enriched by her siblings, James Moore, the late Henry and Charles Moore, the late William "Billy" Moore, the late Thelma Maynard, the late Patricia Richards, Dianna Mills, Lisa Mitchell, Rena Beckett, and Darlene Sexton and husband Jerry.

A natural homemaker, Bonnie, created a home that was a sanctuary of warmth and acceptance. Her doors were always open. She nourished not only the bodies but also the spirits of those she loved.

Bonnie's greatest joy and most profound role was that of a grandmother. She helped raise some of her 22 grandchildren - Craig Lykins, Tierra Marcum, Jacob Marcum, Britney Marcum, and Shelby Elkins - each of whom held a special place in her heart. Her love extended to her great-grandchildren, Brantley Marcum, Elias Prince, and Willow Rose, who will grow up hearing legendary tales of their great-grandmother's kindness and strength.

Her life was a tapestry of dedication to her family, and her interests reflected this commitment. Bonnie found immense joy in spending time with her grandchildren, whether it was through shared activities, quiet moments, or the raucous laughter that often filled her home. Bonnie's presence was a source of comfort and joy to many, including her extended family and a multitude of friends.

Funeral Services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at Steen Funeral Home Central Avenue Chapel. Visitation will be from 12 until service time.
