Bonnie L. Royall, age 86, passed away peacefully at her home on the morning of Sunday, August 31, 2025. Born March 4, 1939 in Genesee County, Michigan, Bonnie was full of life and adventure. She left home at the age of 18 and moved to Washington D.C., where she worked as a secretary at the Pentagon. She was later hired as a stewardess for Eastern Airlines, and worked there from 1964 to 1969. During her time as a stewardess, she met her future husband, United Airlines pilot William E. Royall. They married in March, 1968 and spent much of the 1970's travelling the world, visiting countries such as Egypt, Kenya, and Tanzania. They settled down in Novato, California in 1973. Bonnie welcomed a daughter, Julia Royall, in 1976, and a son, Tom Royall, in 1981. She was an active member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses for over 50 years, and held the love of Jehovah in her heart. She also loved the brothers and sisters in her congregation. She was a woman who was beautiful both inside and out, and she had a laugh that spread joy to those around her. Following Bonnie's final wishes, no funeral will be held, but she will be laid to rest at Valley Memorial Park in Novato, California. She is survived by her husband, William E. Royall; daughter, Julia Royall-Green (James); son, Thomas Royall (Karen); brother, Leonard Thygesen; and two grandchildren, Nathan Green and Bradley Royall. She was predeceased by her mother, Helen L. Thygesen, in 2018. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Bonnie's memory to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, or to the ASPCA.
