It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bonnie Schumacher, a cherished mother, artist, and storyteller, who left this world on September 19, 2025.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents Betty and Roger Schnitzler.

Bonnie is survived by her devoted son, Bill Schumacher, and her beloved daughter, Lily Emerson, who carry forward her legacy of love and artistic wonder.

Bonnie is also survived by her siblings Harry Schumacher, Dennis Schumacher, Ken Schumacher, Terri Shearer & spouse Tim, Dawn Skiles & spouse Charlie, Rick Schnitzler & spouse Kaylene, and Jim Schnitzler. Bonnie's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with creativity, love, and unwavering devotion to her family.

Born with a passion for the arts, Bonnie found joy in every stroke of her brush, every word she penned, and every craft she brought to life. Her home was a haven of imagination, filled with handmade treasures that reflected her gentle spirit and boundless creativity. Above all, Bonnie's greatest masterpiece was her family, whom she loved with a depth that knew no bounds. Her warmth, wisdom, and infectious laughter will forever echo in the hearts of those who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites friends to honor Bonnie's memory by creating something beautiful—a poem, a drawing, or a simple act of kindness—in celebration of the light she brought to the world. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit lives on in every story told and every heart touched.
