Bonnie Jo White, also known as Nana or Grandma Bonnie, age 64, of Woodburn, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Michael White; three children, Clint Walters (Diana), Kayla Fugate (Bryce Burklow), and Corey Fugate (Megan); and her bonus daughter, Mikayla Ray (Josh). She was a proud grandmother to Colt Griffin, Elizabeth Carter, and Ridley and Reid Fugate. She also leaves behind her four sisters, Rhonda Barrow (Merrill), Janet Drake (Michael Cronin), Michelle Hall (Mitch), and Cherie Chavez (Kenny), an aunt, Barbara Wims (Jerry) as well as several nieces, nephews, and cherished friends.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Dale Walters; her mother, Freddie Elaine Rust; and her stepfather, Tommy Rust.
Bonnie lived a full and loving life. She was an avid reader, and she found joy and serenity in kayaking; something she discovered later in life and quickly grew to love. She had an amazing gift for making any space feel like home, filling it with warmth, beauty, and comfort. Her love of animals was unmatched, and she will be especially missed by her beloved dog, Rolo, and her cat, Bandit.
Visitation will be from 11:30 am to 3:30 pm on Friday October 17th, 2025 at Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. A graveside memorial service will be held Friday at 4:00 pm at the Greenlawn Cemetery.
