On May 8, 2025, Bonnie Jane Wilkie passed away peacefully at her home surround by loved ones, after a courageous hard-fought battle with brain cancer; she was 57 years old. Bonnie was a registered nurse who had a gift for serving others. Her generosity knew no bounds.

Bonnie was the third of six children, born in Leominster, MA on February 21, 1968 to the late Anthony and Barbara Spinelli. Bonnie is survived by her loving husband, Michael Wilkie; her beloved sons, Conner and Chase; her siblings: Christina Spinelli; Scott and his wife Lynn Spinelli; Lisa and her husband Danny Carignan; Anthony Spinelli Jr.; and Andrea and her husband Greg Kean; special family friend Donna Savastano, and many nieces and nephews.

Bonnie graduated from St. Bernard’s High School in 1986. While completing her Bachelor of Science degree, Bonnie enrolled at New England Baptist School of Nursing and graduated as an RN in 1991. Bonnie’s nursing career spanned 30+ years with positions at Duke University Medical Center, New England Baptist Hospital, and Heywood Hospital, as well as several leadership roles at nursing homes and hospice agencies. Her exceptional work ethic and attention to detail were recognized by many throughout her career. Bonnie was especially passionate about hospice nursing and she went above and beyond the call of duty for every patient and their family. She served everyone with the upmost compassion and dignity. Over the years, countless families shared stories of the impact Bonnie made to support them in extraordinary ways.

Bonnie’s most treasured role was caring for her sons Conner and Chase. They undoubtedly meant the world to her and being their mother was her greatest joy. She had a strong faith-based way of life and in her free time she enjoyed antiquing and crafting.

Bonnie will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her and she will be in our hearts forever.

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols St., Gardner, MA on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at 11:00 am.
