Boston Lee Garrett

Boston Lee Garrett, 14, of Richmond, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, July 12, 2025, due to injuries sustained during a motor vehicle accident.
Boston was born on June 23, 2011, at North Kansas City Hospital, the son of Coby Lee Garrett and Hayley Nicole Noland.
Survivors include: his parents; brothers, Bryce Garrett and Peyton Baylor; maternal grandparents, Stacey "Grammy" and Zachery "Pop Pop" Werle; paternal grandmother, Tammy "Gma" Wilson Garrett; paternal great-grandmother, Connie Wilson; maternal great-grandmothers, Linda L. Todd and Susan Oliver; maternal great-grandparents, Gary and Linda Werle; uncles, Ian Werle, Brian "Bri Bri" Garrett, Drew Greig, and Steven Rogers; aunts, Cheyenne Werle, Autumn Werle, and Jennifer Rogers; cousins, Braelyn Werle, Briar Werle, Landon Harvie, Olivia McFee, Asher Horn, Harmony Werle; and countless other extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandma and grandpa, Robert F. Todd and Jesley L. Todd, uncle, Joshua Anderson, paternal grandpa, Ricky Garrett, paternal great-aunt, Mary Greig, and maternal great-great-grandma, Mary Rhodus.
Boston was a bright light to everyone he met-full of energy, laughter, and love. He never knew a stranger and had a gift for making people smile. Whether he was being goofy, cracking jokes, or flashing his infectious smile, Boston's playful and ornery spirit left a lasting impression. He was truly one of a kind.
He had a deep love for sports and could often be found playing baseball, basketball, or football. He also enjoyed fishing and spending time outdoors. Boston was happiest when surrounded by his brothers and cousins, where fun and laughter were guaranteed-usually loud and a little wild, just the way he liked it.
Smart, charismatic, and full of life, Boston had an uncanny ability to connect with others. He touched countless lives and made lifelong friends wherever he went. As the first grandchild in the family, he held a special place in all of our hearts. Boston approached life on his own terms, facing challenges with determination and heart. His love of living was unmatched, and the joy he brought into our lives will never be forgotten. His absence leaves a hole that can never be filled.

A celebration of life will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond.
