Boungai Sithiphon

Boungai Sithiphon, 73, of Hartford beloved husband of Lattana Sithiphon, passed away Monday, June 26, 2023. Born in Laos, son of the late Thitpha Sithiphon and his 107 year old mother Thong Souk in Laos, he was raised there coming to Connecticut in 1983. He was employed by US Steel Co, East Hartford as a crane operator for 30 years before retiring. He was one of the founding members and past president of the Lao Association of CT where he devoted countless hours helping members of his Laotian community. He enjoyed working in his garden, playing golf with friends, spending time with his grandchildren but truly enjoyed helping others. Besides his mother and wife he leaves three daughters Phonsavanne Ly and her husband Steven of Bolton, Souksakhone Sithiphon of Milford, and Kiatying Chanthaphone of Hartford; three grandchildren Calvin and Savina Ly and Kaylee Helms; two brothers Somock and Somjai both in Laos, a sister Somsanit in Laos, and a sister Bouasy of Middletown; and many nieces and nephews. Boungai's Funeral Service will begin Saturday, July 1, 2023, at 1:30 PM at the Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Avenue, Windsor concluding with Cremation at Mt.
