Bradley Bruce Becker, 64 of Swansboro, passed away on August 8, 2023.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Juanita Becker; and his brother, Donald Becker.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Ellen Wegner Becker of the home; his sons, Shawn Becker and Matthew Becker both of Swansboro. He has two sisters: Kay Merx (husband Larry) of Milan, MI and Malissa Garner (husband Brian) of Tipton, MI.
Bradley grew up in Tipton, MI and attended school in Tecumseh, MI with graduation in 1977. Shortly after school, he joined the United States Marine Corps and served for 20 years before retiring as a Staff Sgt. He was fortunate to see many places in the world, including many countries in Europe and Asia and also Australia. The first 3 years of marriage were spent in Hawaii and he also spent 6 months in Okinawa, Japan, a year at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba and he served in the Gulf War. He was so proud to serve his country and flew the American flag on the front porch, too!
After his retirement he got his NC real estate license and worked alongside Ellen ever since. He put everything into his occupation and helped many families with their dreams of homeownership. He was a history buff and knew everything about the Civil War. He spent a few years involved in Civil War Reenactment. He was a hunter, a fisherman and a nature lover, too.
Brad was loved and will be missed so much, but we know he is in a better place and is watching down on us.
A memorial visitation for Brad will be on Saturday, August 26, 2023 from 10am -11am at the Clinton Chapel of Handler Funeral Homes. Memorial services will follow at 11am.
