Britton, SD: The memorial service for Bradley "Brad" Bender will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 22, 2025 at First Lutheran Church of Britton, SD. Inurnment will take place at a later date. Bradley Marvin Bender was born July 17, 1966 in Britton, SD to Marvin and Valera (Behnke) Bender. He attended his schooling in Britton and graduated from Britton High School in 1984. Following high school he went to Northern State in Aberdeen and earned a Business Management and Marketing Degree. On May 16, 1986 Brad married his high school sweetheart Jane Severson. They were blessed with two sons, Zachary in 2000 and Gage in 2003. His family was his whole world and he was so proud of his sons. He loved spending time as a family and taking family trips where they made many wonderful memories together. Throughout the years Brad worked various jobs in sales. He worked some years for Bank One, Strictly Diesel and American Express. In 2021 he and his family moved back to Britton and he worked at Green Iron Equipment and Hollands Napa. Brad loved tinkering on old cars and it was always special when his sons were able to join. He was an avid Kansas City Chiefs and NASCAR fan. He would do anything for anyone and was always willing to help when needed by family or friends – he did not know how to say no. He enjoyed cooking, grilling and smoking for gatherings. After moving back to Britton he started to get into fishing and as luck would have it, he caught a big walleye that he made sure to have mounted. Brad passed away Saturday, August 16, 2025 in Britton, SD at the age of 59. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Jane and their two sons, Zachary and Gage; by his siblings, Candie (Randy) Beck and Shawnlee (Donnie) Hammit; his brothers-in-law, Tim (Peggy) Severson and Jeff (Anna) Severson; sister-in-law, Becky (John) Streier; father-in-law, Charles Severson; and many nieces, nephews and extended family. Preceding him in death were his parents, Marvin and Valera; and mother-in-law, Diann Severson. Condolences may be directed to the family in care of Jane Bender – 117 Main Ave. – Britton, SD 57430.
