Bradley Taylor Watson, 43, of Goodyear, AZ, suddenly passed away on January 5, 2025.
Bradley was born on April 16, 1981, to Joann and Rodney Watson in Overland Park, Kansas.
It is with heavy hearts and deep sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved husband, father and son, Bradley Taylor Watson. He followed in the footsteps of his brother, Gregory Curtis Watson, to heaven. He is survived by his devoted wife, Ashley Kay Watson, and their three wonderful children: Kaylor Ann Watson, Bradley Taylor Watson II, and Alex Rodney Watson. He is also survived by his parents, Joann L. Watson (Clark) and Rodney L. Watson, as well as Ashley’s mother, Lori Starnes, her sister, Amy Winkler, her husband, Shawn Winkler, and their three children: Chris Winkler, Kyli Winkler, and Kaden Winkler.
His incredible parents instilled in him the values of love, strength, and perseverance. His parents, with their unwavering support and guidance, played a crucial role in shaping the man he became. They not only gave him a foundation of love and care but also taught him the importance of resilience and striving for greatness.
Brad was a man of God whose presence could light up a room, whose laughter was infectious, and whose love of family was boundless. At the age of forty-three, he left us far too soon, but the imprint he made on our lives will remain forever. As his mother, Joann, so beautifully put it, “He was quick to come into this world and quick to leave.” A reminder of how he lived life fully and with purpose, leaving an unforgettable mark in a short time.
Known for his competitive spirit, Brad always approached life with determination and passion. Whether it was sports, work, or simply family games, he brought a drive and energy that was truly infectious. His zest for life and his constant pursuit of excellence inspired those around him to push themselves further and to always give their best. He played every role in life with dedication, always striving to be the best version of himself for his family and friends.
Though he may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the lessons he shared, the memories he created, and the deep love that he so freely gave. We find comfort in knowing that his life was lived with purpose, and that he was surrounded by those who loved him deeply until his final day.
As we mourn his passing, we also celebrate the remarkable man he was. We are reminded that the love he gave us is eternal. His legacy will continue in the hearts of his children, who will carry his wisdom, his laughter, his competitive spirit, and his caring nature with them always. He has left us with a foundation of love, resilience, and joy, and may we find strength in each other as we navigate this heartbreaking time.
To all those who knew him, Brad was a source of light, guidance, and warmth. We take solace in knowing that he is now at peace, watching over us as we carry forward his love and his memory.
A Celebration of Life will be held on January 18th from 12:00 - 2:00 pm, where we will come together to celebrate his life and the profound impact he had on all who knew him. To honor Brad's passion for sports, we invite you to wear your favorite sports attire. Though we mourn, we also know that he would want us to live each day with the same love, laughter, and joy that he gave so freely. Thank you for your love and support during this difficult time.
Forever in our hearts,The Family of Bradley Taylor Watson
