Brady John Sumner, 74, of Norman Park, passed away at his home on Friday, August 23, 2024.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home, with Reverend Jimmy Voyles officiating. Interment will follow at Baker/Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Terry Pafford, Luther Black, Chuck Jinright, Buck Varnadoe, Daniel Varnadoe, and David Norman will all serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held one hour before the service in the chapel.
Born on November 22, 1949, in Tifton, Georgia, he was the son of the late Robert Lee Sumner and Mattie Thelma Jordan Sumner. Brady pursued his passion for agriculture, working on the family farm. His knowledge and skills were widely respected in the local agricultural community. After retiring from farming, he found joy in life's simple pleasures. He was also a member of the Lenox Church of God.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Sumner.
Mr. Sumner is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Ann Varnadoe Sumner; daughters, Pam Sumner Wall and husband Trevor of Norman, Oklahoma, Lisa Michelle Sumner, and Angela Love Sumner, both of Norman Park; grandchildren, Emily Regan Barrett, Bradley Zain Varnadoe, and William Kade Freeman; brother, Robert Lee Sumner, Jr. and wife Crystal of Norman Park; and sister, Carrie Horton of Lenox.
