Brandon Carl Coomer, born on August 23, 1980, passed away on December 12, 2025, leaving behind a light that will never be forgotten. Brandon was the kind of person whose presence filled a room-his smile, his laughter, and his unmistakable warmth touched everyone he encountered.
Music was woven into Brandon's soul. He loved music deeply, singing with a beautiful voice that could both comfort and uplift, and playing the piano with a passion that spoke when words could not. Through music, Brandon expressed joy, faith, and love, often ministering to hearts without ever realizing how profoundly he was touching them.
Brandon was known for his bright personality and genuine kindness. He had an extraordinary gift for loving people-friends, family, and even strangers-making each person feel seen, valued, and welcomed. His compassion was effortless, his generosity sincere, and his heart open to all.
Above all, Brandon cherished his beloved spouse, Daniel. Their love was evident to everyone who knew them-a love rooted in devotion, support, and deep affection. Brandon's love for Daniel was unwavering and tender, a beautiful reflection of the way he loved life and those around him.
Brandon loved his passion of clogging and dancing. He was a performer in the Rocky Top Revue clogging team in Tennessee along with working as a Dollywood performer for Dolly Parton herself at her theme park in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. He had the privilege to clog with some dear friends of his and his mother, one of which were the Columbia Cloggers. For several years he danced with them and was part of the Junior Edition. His mother, Lillie was very proud of the man he had grown up to be and was always his cheerleader in everything he put to his heart and all the endeavors he set out to accomplish.
Brandon was preceded in death by his late father Joe Coomer and his mother Lillie Lewis. Brandon leaves behind many others who loved him including his spouse Daniel Galus of Seymour, Indiana; his brother Gary (Betty) Coomer of
Austin, Indiana; his sister Linda Coomer of Seymour, Indiana; his adopted brother Dale(Jeremy) Box of Seymour, Indiana; his extended brother Harley Madden of
Austin, Indiana, and his extended sister Taylor (Jordan) Coppage of
Austin, Indiana and countless nieces and nephews and many others who were close to him and loved him dearly.
Though Brandon's time on this earth feels far too short, his legacy lives on in the music he shared, the love he gave so freely, and the countless lives he brightened simply by being himself. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the blessing and privilege of knowing him.
In honor of Brandon's wishes, direct cremation was chosen, with a celebration of life at New Covenant Church in
Austin, Indiana at a later date. Rev. Jordan Coppage to officiate celebration of life. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Brandon, please visit our floral store.
