Brandon Carlton Smith, 33, known to his loved ones as "Bubba", passed away on August 11, 2025 with his mom and dad by his side. Brandon was born in Akron, Ohio on July 4, 1992 at 9:14 a.m. As a child, Brandon and his family lived in Ohio, New Jersey, and Illinois. He returned to Ohio as a young adult and began his career as a cook at several local restaurants.
Brandon was an incredibly creative person. He loved to draw and was a self-taught guitar player. He enjoyed gaming, particularly the game Minecraft.
He also loved to spend time outdoors. In younger years, he could often be found skateboarding and in recent years, he could be found fishing on the shores of local lakes.
Brandon had a wonderful sense of humor and always wanted to make those around him laugh. He was a dearly loved son, father, brother, grandson, and friend and will be truly missed by everyone who knew him.
Brandon is survived by his parents, Kevin and Molly Bryan; sister, Amanda Smith and her children, Alyssa and Nate; Brandon's children, Lilah and Zia and their mother, Kayla; grandparents, Edith Bryan and Preston J. Smith Sr and Cheryl Smith. He also leaves many other aunts, uncles, cousins, and good friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025 from 10-11 am immediately followed by an 11:00 am memorial service at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, Ohio 44305.
