Brandon Reed Whitlock, 20 years, went home to the Lord on March 15, 2025, while attempting a Dukes of Hazzard stunt maintaining his status as a Good Ole Boy. Reed was born on January 2, 2005, one day late to be a New Year's baby because being late was his style. Reed was a founding member of MALE (Make Anyone Laugh Entourage) and made it his life's mission to bring joy to those around him through his crazy antics and his great ability to make others laugh. He loved to spend time outdoors hog hunting and fishing, he especially loved to hunt with his uncle, Blake. Reed's favorite hobby was jumping in his mother and father's bed early in the morning to receive scratches and loving. He also enjoyed snowboarding and had excelled at cruising the black diamond runs.
Reed will be greatly missed by the many people that called him friend and mostly by his surviving family: mother, Tiffany; father, Jeffery; siblings, Trevor, Abby, and Logan; grandparents: Memee, Cheryl Whitlock; and Grandma, Peggy Sciturro (Jeff); aunts and uncles, Matt Davis (Christy), Blake Brady (Brittany), Yvonne Brady (Travis), and Tonya Webb (Joshua). He had a host of aunts and uncles that he dearly loved: Uncle Junior and Aunt Lannie, Uncles Desmond Grace, James Jordan, and Marvin Plummer.
He was preceded in death by his Papa Dirk Whitlock and his Grandpa Frank Brady, Jr.; great grandfathers, Sam Frady and Frank Brady, Sr.; and his DanPa and great grandparents, Milton and Nancy Carpenter.
The Whitlock family would like to thank the community for their outpouring of love, as well as the help and support they have received during this extremely difficult time.
A celebration of Reed's life will be held at More 2 Life Church at 12 p.m. on Saturday, March 29, 2025, followed by some food and fellowship – and maybe even a little B.S. session.
