Brandy Carla Long Matthews, 39, wife of Kenneth M. Matthews, III, passed away Saturday, March 22, 2025, at Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital.
Born on July 1, 1985, in Georgetown, she was a daughter of Melinda High Long and the late Tony Long. Mrs. Matthews enjoyed the simple things in life and enjoyed spending time with her family.
Survivors include her husband of Andrews; mother of Andrews; maternal grandmother, Linda Evans (Dan) of Pawleys Island; three children, Brenton McClary, Evan Matthews and Cole Matthews all of Florence; one step son, Merle Matthews of Georgetown; seven nephews, Robert Glenn Long, Kayden Glass and JC Long Blakely all of Andrews and Alex Freeman, Matthew Freeman, Andrew Freeman and Ethan Freeman all of Florence; two nieces, Katie Marie Ann Long and Kailey Glass both of Andrews; one brother, Jesse Long of Andrews; one uncle, Jeff High of Georgetown; four aunts, Tammy Evans of Pawleys Island, Jackie Long of Andrews, Patty Long of Andrews and Lori Ann Long of Andrews; a sister-in-law, Meredith Matthews Freeman (Les) of Florence
She was preceded in death by her father, Tony Long; and a sister, Amber Nichole Long
A memorial service will be held at 2 PM Sunday, March 30, 2025, at Graves Southern Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends after the service at the church.
