Brenda Lee Ashe, passed away at her home after a courageous battle with cancer on Saturday, August 03, 2024.
Brenda was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Sweitzer; step-father, Carlton “Corkey” Sweitzer; and her beloved daughter, Melissa Holland.
She leaves behind her husband, Dennis “Chicken” Holland; sons, Corey Ashe (Hillary Ashe) and Shawn Holland; and grandchildren; Laken Ashe & Raylan Ashe to forever cherish her memory.
Brenda was born in Alabama but spent most of her life in Penhook & Wirtz, VA. While in Franklin County, she met the love of her life, Dennis Holland and they shared a wonderful 28 years together. All of her children, Corey, Hillary, Shawn & Melissa were the lights of her life, and she had a special relationship with each of them. Her grandchildren, Laken & Raylan, brought her joy beyond measure.
Brenda drove a bus for 16 years for Franklin County Public Schools, from there she went on to be a Manager at Bojangles and then proceeded to be a Supervisor at Stik-Pak Solutions. Thank you to her many co-workers who checked on her throughout this last year.
A special thank you from the family to Morgan Oakes who took wonderful care of the strongest person they knew.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 AM Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at Conner-Bowman Funeral Home with Pastor's Melvin Harris and Henry Butler officiating. Interment will follow win the Dillon Family Cemetery on Brooks Mill Road, Glade Hill. Her family will receive friends on Monday, August 5, 2024 from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
