Brenda Eidman Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Brownlie & Maxwell Funeral Service & Crematory on Jul. 21, 2023.
We are saddened to announce the passing of Brenda Gale Eidman at the age of 60 on July 19th. Brenda succumbed to a very short battle with stage 4 colon cancer after a recent diagnosis. Her final week was spent in the excellent care of the William Childs Hospice House in Palm Bay. Her brother was by her side and with her when she passed.
Brenda Eidman was born on October 24, 1962, to William Joseph and Carolyn Randolph Eidman in Melbourne, Florida. Sixteen months later, she became a big sister to brother Darryl. She attended Indialantic Elementary, Hoover Jr. High and Melbourne High schools. She played the clarinet and participated in the marching band at Mel-Hi, graduating in 1981.
Brenda went on to Brevard Community College to receive her 2-year degree, then to the University of Florida, where she was a huge football fan (Go Gators!) and earned her Bachelors degree. After college, Brenda joined her aunt's company, Central Pump, working with her cousins, and starting in accounts payable. She remained dedicated to the company for 35 years, and recently transitioned to a purchasing agent under the new company name, Site One. She enjoyed her work and was loved by her many coworkers both locally and throughout the state of Florida. Other than her time at U of F, she resided in Brevard County for her entire life.
She was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, niece and cousin and is survived by her mother Carolyn, who she cared for during the past 5 years, brother Darryl (aka "Sport"), sister-in-law Karen, and niece Sarah who she adored. She was known affectionately as Aunt B to the immediate family for the past 30 years.
She was predeceased by her father William, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins, all who she was very close to. Family was especially important to her as well as her close friends.
In the early days when it was all the rage, Brenda took up line dancing which she did for many years with her numerous friends and coworkers, including her longtime best friend and work husband, Randy Popp. She mastered every routine and loved it. She even learned to like Country music! Brenda was always cheerful, laughing and smiling, and if she laughed loud enough, it ended with a snort!
Brenda was an exceptional person, always kind and patient and never a bad word to say about anyone. She deeply loved her family and her 3 cats over the years, Jazz, Isabella and Leo. Her cats were her children, and she spared no expense to take care of them. If you knew Brenda, you know she also loved her Diet Coke, which was always close by. She started drinking it as a teenager and it was also her last request before she passed.
Brenda loved spending time with her family during the holidays. She made everyone's favorites for every single holiday meal – macaroni and cheese, and squash casserole. At Easter, she made her traditional bunny shaped cake topped with coconut that was delicious as well as a beautiful work of art.
Brenda's absence has left a huge hole in our little family that will never be filled; however, we are comforted to know that she is in paradise with our Heavenly Father after she recently accepted Jesus as her savior.
There will be a viewing on Saturday, July 29th at 1:30, followed by a service at 2pm at Brownlie Maxwell Funeral Home, 1010 East Palmetto Avenue, Melbourne.
