Brenda Jean Liller, 81, of Knobley Road, Keyser, WV, passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2025 at Complete Care at Dawnview in Fort Ashby, WV.
Born on December 22, 1943 in Sidney, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Fenton and Irene (Brooks) Collier. She also was preceded in death by her eldest son Jeffrey Liller of Ridgeley, WV; her mother and father-in-law, Pauline and Wallace Liller; her brother-in-law Kenneth Liller; sister-in-law Joyce Collier and her nephew Jason Collier.
Left to cherish her memory is her best friend and loving husband of 59 years, David C Liller; her daughter Elaine Liller McCrobie and husband Jeffery, her son, Ryan 'Stretch' Liller and wife Morgan Bever, daughter-in-law Tracy Liller, her brother Jeffrey Collier and significant other Linda Holmes, and her sister Gayle Patterson. Also surviving are her grandchildren Jeffrey Funk, Mitchell McCrobie, Ryan Liller Jr. and wife Katie, Berretta Liller, Michael McCrobie, Sierra Liller, Alexis Liller and her great grandson John Funk; nieces and nephews Katie Roberts and husband Wayne, Mike Liller and wife Dori, Julie Collier Rao and husband Dipesh, Jared Collier and wife Kayla, Katie Collier, Tonya Pitman, Tony Pitman, and many great nieces and nephews.
Brenda was a long-time member of the Pinto Mennonite Church, a past Worthy Matron of Alkire Chapter # 10, Order of Eastern Star in Keyser, WV, and a Grand Cross Rainbow Girl. A past Queen of the Traveling Momma's Red Hat Society, she was also a past Girl Scout Leader and member of Homemakers. Brenda was a licensed practical nurse and graduated from Dayton School of Nursing earning the highest score on her nursing boards of her class. She studied cytology at Cleveland Clinic in Ohio. She began her nursing career at Miami Valley in Dayton, Ohio where she worked until she moved to West Virginia. She then worked at Sacred Heart Hospital in Cumberland, Maryland until the birth of her eldest son and later began working at Dawnview Nursing Home in Fort Ashby and retired from Heartland Nursing Home of Keyser.
Friends will be received at the Pinto Mennonite Church on Monday, January 20, 2025 from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m. A funeral service will be conducted immediately following the visitation at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Duane Frederick officiating.
Private interment will be in the Biser Cemetery, Knobley Road, Keyser.
