Brenda Lee Messamore, 59, of Jonesboro passed from this life on Sunday, November 9, 2025 at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro.
Brenda was born in Lincoln, Illinois and raised in Waynesville. She graduated from Olympia High School in 1984 and soon began her lifelong career with Country Financial, where she worked faithfully for more than thirty years. She was known for her dedication, resilience, and the kindness she shared with coworkers, friends, and neighbors throughout her life.
Brenda had a good heart and a gentle, generous spirit. Many described her as sweet, caring, and beautiful inside and out—someone who encouraged others, stayed connected, and offered help whenever she could. She loved animals deeply, supported Ruby’s Rescue, and treasured her German shepherd, Jax. After retiring, she moved to Jonesboro, Arkansas, where she reconnected with family and found new community.
Brenda faced many hardships with strength and determination, yet she always carried tenderness for the people she loved. She adored her children, Bethany and Christopher, with all her heart. Above all, Brenda loved Jesus. We take comfort in knowing she is now at peace in His presence, healed, whole, and held in the arms of her Savior. She will be remembered for her faith, her perseverance, and the quiet kindness that touched so many lives.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Wayne and Dixie Charron as well as siblings Kathy, Rhonda, Kevin and Jeff.
She is survived by her children, Bethany (Andrew) Donovan and Christopher (Kaylie) Messamore as well as siblings Jeanette Sanders-Lockhart and Brian Charron.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday November 15, 2025 at Waynesville Christian Church in Waynesville, Illinois with Pastor Larry Crawford officiating.
