Santa Clara, Utah — Brenda Gail Jackson Yates, age 74, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her loved ones. 3:36am on November 13th at 2025. She was born in Rockwood, Tennessee, to Charlie and Mayme Jackson.
Brenda was raised in Kingston, Tennessee, where she built a life filled with faith, love, and purpose. She was deeply devoted to teaching others about Jehovah and found great joy in writing letters that expressed her faith and love for Him. Brenda’s gentle spirit and steadfast faith reflected her lifelong dedication as a strong and active member of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
She loved spending time in her garden, tending to her flowers and plants with the same care and patience she gave to everyone in her life. Her kindness, warmth, and humor left an impression on everyone who knew her. Brenda was fierce, full of life, and loved attention and laughter, her presence always lit up the room. She craved love, like all of us do, and gave it back freely to those around her.
Brenda is survived by her children: David Gilreath, Rocky Yates, Heather Zollinger, and Clayton Yates; and her beloved grandchildren: Micah Yates, Mallorie Yates, Ethan Fay, Malakai Fay, Charlotte Zollinger, Francelle Zollinger, Jayni Yates, Sammy Yates, Breanna Nicole Gilreath, Dylan M. Gilreath, Savanna Nicole Gilreath, and Dalton M. Gilreath. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Mayme Jackson.

Her faith and love will forever guide those she left behind.
