Brent McFarland passed away March 9, 2024 in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Brent was born in Jacksonville, AL, graduated from Oxford High School and was a resident of Lincoln for the past five years.
Brent lived life to its fullest. He was passionate about a lot of things including his love for baseball, fishing, golf and Alabama football. He graduated from Brewton Parker College in Georgia where he played his last two years of college baseball.
Brent loved Jesus, his wife, family, and his many friends. He always enjoyed conversations with anyone who would sit down and talk.
Brent started his career with Chick-Fil-A in the Leadership Development Program with the dream of becoming an owner/operator. Throughout his years traveling he touched the lives of many through his gift of mentoring. He had a heart for helping those who struggled, and he served others well.
Brent is survived by his loving wife of seven years, Kimberly Murphy McFarland; parents, Dwain and Tracy McFarland; brothers, Derek (Kendall) McFarland and Brady (Brooke) McFarland; father-in-law, Greg (Robin) Murphy and mother-in-law, Cheryl Murphy; brother-in-law, Dalton (Savannah) Murphy; niece, Maebry McFarland; nephews, Gatlin, Titus and Beau McFarland; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Clayton and Margie Hanvey and Edgar C. and Ruby D. McFarland.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at Harvest Church of God in Golden Springs. Bishop Jerry Irwin, Pastor Don Maddox, Reverend Chris Terrell and Kaleb Crowe will officiate. The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:45 p.m. on Saturday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his honor may be sent to Harvest Church of God, 520 Golden Springs Road, Anniston, AL 36207.
