The graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Mt. Pisgah-Zion Ridge Cemetery, 2930 County Road 49, Clanton, Alabama.
Mr. Turner passed away Saturday, October 25, 2025, at Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Birmingham, Alabama, on December 20, 1939, he was the son of the late Lloyd and Annie Ruth Griffin Turner. He was preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey Lloyd Turner; stepmother, Anne Denton Turner; grandson, Jason Aaron Turner; and great-nephew, Foster Turner.
Lloyd graduated from Auburn University in December of 1964 and was an avid Auburn fan. He retired from Alabama Power after 30 years of service and after his retirement, he worked for the Tallapoosa River Electric Cooperative in Lafayette, Alabama. He served in the Alabama Air National Guard, was a gun enthusiast who loved to hunt and fish. He also had a great love for animals.
Mr. Turner is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Glenda Cleckley Turner; son, Jason Turner; grandchildren, Olivia Ruth Turner, Jacob Turner, Karis Turner; daughter-in-law, Renee' Womble Turner Ruger; brother, Larry Turner (Martha); sister-in-law, Brenda Cleckley Widner (Ronald); and several nieces and nephews.
Honorary pallbearers will be his former colleagues of Alabama Power.
