I met Brett when I was about 10 years old, and I remember thinking oh my gosh, she is so beautiful! And popular! I also remember being very shy and reserved, but she made me feel so comfortable. She was always so sweet to me when other people were "too cool" to talk to me. I also remember her telling me she thought I was really sweet and smart too. In the awkward age we were, I will always remember her not being superficial and arrogant, just as nice as she could be!! I also understand her struggles, as I´ve been thru it too. Fly high Brett! I will never forget how you treated me like a human, and not the nerdy, scared kid I was for so long! Elliot, if you see this, please message me on FB so I can give my condolences. My heart goes out to you and your family.

Brett was a beautiful soul. We were neighbors for a short time and I was good friends with her daughter Leighla as a child. She took me in, fed me, and was a mother to me when I needed it as a child. We lost touch over the years after she moved, but I will never forget her kindness. She was a wonderful mom and person. I hope heaven is beautiful.

I cannot believe I´m writing this, so sad to see you leave this world so soon. You were one of the special ones. So smart and a personality like no other. Even though we had not spoken in several years, I had a very peaceful dream with you in it on 1/3/24, when I awoke at 6am, I turned to Facebook to send you a friendly hello, first thing I see on your page , is of your passing 12/30/23. I´m shocked and heartbroken my friend. I don´t even know how to take the way that I found out. May your precious souls rest in peace.
You will forever hold a special place in my heart.
RIP Brett Ashley

My favorite memory of Brett is playing on the kitchen floor with Dorene and Leighla. She was my niece and a sweet person. I wish I had gotten to see them more often.

I love you so much mom. I wish I had gotten to see you again. Maybe in the next life. I hope you're at peace now.
