Brett Henry Shaw

Brett Henry Shaw, 61, of Mosby passed away August 28, 2023 at Billings Clinic in Billings. He was born January 28, 1962 to Bud & Anna Shaw in Lewistown, MT., he joined brother Orval to complete their family.
He grew up roaming the banks and hills along the Musselshell River at Mosby. He went to school and graduated from Winnett High School in 1980. He went to work in the "oil patch" shortly after graduating. He worked for Clint & Louanne Woodford for a short time, helping with lambing. He also worked for Hugh Brindley, moving dirt and building dams. He married Kim Phillips and they had a son, Buddy. During this time, he worked for his brother-in-law, Lloyd Carrell at Cat Creek Oil Field, along with raising some sheep and cows. He also was a brand inspector for a short time. Brett & Kim later divorced. He remained on the ranch at Mosby until his death.
Brett is survived by his son Buddy Shaw, brother Orval (Jolene) and nephews Ryan (Marcie), Grant (Bonnie) and Connor Shaw and niece Katie Fry (Jason).
He is preceded in death by his parents, Bud & Anna Shaw.
Funeral Services will be Saturday, September 9, 2023 at 2:00 pm at the Petroleum County Community Center 207 E. Main Street, Winnett, MT. Refreshments will be served after the funeral service. Larry Wilkerson will be officiating. Burial will follow at the Flatwillow Cemetery.
