In Loving Memory of Brett Christopher Smith
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Brett, who unexpectedly departed this life on December 5, 2025 at the age of 33. He was a cherished son, husband, brother, uncle, nephew, grandson and a pillar of strength, love, and kindness to all who knew him.
Born on May 23, 1992 in Beverly, MA, Brett lived a life full of compassion, generosity, and unwavering dedication to family and friends. Brett graduated from Pentucket Regional High School in 2010 and went on to Westfield State University. In 2014, Brett earned a bachelors degree in Criminal Justice. He went on to earn his master's degree in Computer Science. He became an inventory specialist and had a talent for organizing. Brett also loved the outdoors and went on adventures to the woods and mountains whenever he could. Of course, he was destined to be a gamer with he compulsion to solve problems and he had an extensive network of friends as a result.
He is survived by his mother Kimberly Charette, wife Desiree Law, siblings Elizabeth Charette, Michael Charette and Dorothy Wolf, nieces Alyssa Hill, Aurelia Charette and Brialyn Wolf, nephews Jason Hill, Brian Wasson and Bentley Wasson, his Aunt Jen Senechal, Uncle Marc Snow and grandmother Laura "Mickey" Smith, as well as a host of other relatives and friends who will deeply miss his humor, love and presence.
Throughout his life, Brett touched many hearts with his generosity, loyalty, humor, love of games and movie quotes. He was known for being selfless and willing to help anyone he found needing help, even if it was getting something from the top shelf with his incredible height.
A memorial service will be held on December 19, 2025, at Grondin Funeral Home, 177 N. Main St, Rochester, NH from 5 to 7pm, where family and friends will gather to celebrate Brett's life and legacy. All are welcome to attend and share in remembering the joy, love and humor he brought to the world. Brett will be dearly missed but forever remembered in the hearts of those who loved him. We welcome all fondly remembered stories, pictures and remembrances of his life so he can never be forgotten.
