Brett William Vallet, 60, of Clarks Summit died January 18, 2025 at home after a long illness. He was the husband of Colleen Durkin.
He was born October 31, 1964 He graduate from Main Endwell High School, Endwell NY. Brett was a proud Air Force veteran, having served 12 years as a medic. He was a veteran of Operation Desert Storm, having been deployed to Al Minhad Air Force Base in Dubai as part of the 388th Air Force Tactical Wing.
After his military service, Brett earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology and a Master’s Degree in Organizational Specialties, both from Misericordia University.
Brett was a kind hearted, funny, loving individual. This was best shown through his love of animals. He rescued numerous dogs and cats throughout his life, animals who were often overlooked at the shelter because they were too old, or sick, or had other issues. He jokingly referred to his home as the “island of misfit animals”.
Prior to his death, Brett was employed by the Social Security Administration.

Brian (Joan), Endwell, NY; Jon (Michele) Newport News, VA and Bill (Stephanie), Frederick, MD.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harry George Vallet and his wife Elizabeth A. Vallet.
Funeral arrangements will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
