James Adolph Vallet "Jimmy" was born August 11,1946 in Flatwoods, Louisiana and departed this world September 16, 2025, in Alexandria, Louisiana to be forever with his Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ. Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents Adolph James Vallet "Buddy" and Mary Ezell Vallet; the love of his life and wife, Stephanie Townsend Vallet; and siblings Mary Catherine Vallet, and Sam Vallet.

Jimmy is survived by his children: Amanda Gayle Vallet-Carderara (Matt) of Tioga, Louisiana; Mary Elizabeth Vallet Jackson (Joel) of Natchitoches, Louisiana; Victoria Marie Vallet of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Mark Johnson (MKay) of Calhoun, Louisiana; Sherry Philips of Slidell, Louisiana; Wendi Johnson of Pineville, Louisiana; Jason Johnson (KayCee) of Pineville, Louisiana; Joey Johnson of Texas; and siblings: Michael Vallet (Cathy) of Mountain City, Tennessee; Mary Catherine Lavesphere of Cox Creek, Kentucky; and Annie Vallet Addison of Huntsville, Texas; ex-son-in-law, Mark Bailey; first grandchild, Blake Barton; plus a small army of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a large congregation of friends, both near and far.

Shortly after graduating from High School, Jimmy joined the U.S. Navy and proudly served as a Corpsman during the Vietnam War where he was received a Purple Heart Medal, and a Bronze Star for acts of valor, and ultimately returned home with an Honorable Discharge, and a love for the military and service members that never ended.

Jimmy had a long and successful career as a Respiratory Therapist, retiring from the Huey P. Long Medical Center with much love and adoration from both patients and co-workers alike. It was during his tenure as a respiratory therapist that Jimmy first met Stephanie when he was assigned to care for her terminally ill mother. Ten years after that meeting, Jimmy and Stephanie reconnected through a chance encounter and this is when their true love story began.

Jimmy had a love for life's experiences. In his younger days, Jimmy enjoyed hunting and fishing. He excelled and was recognized for his martial arts techniques. He loved outdoors and riding his Harley, even getting Stephanie to join in on his many riding adventures. But his talents did not stop there. Jimmy's passion for music led him to become an outstanding guitarist. In the early years, Jimmy originally played lead guitar for a local band called Lady Janice & the Stingrays, but he went on to play a vital part in many jam sessions with a number of musicians and bands. After retiring from the medical field, Jimmy opened up his musical repair shop, appropriately named "Everything Strings", and he found real joy in expanding his operation by sharing his knowledge and love of music through instructional videos also known as vlogging.

Most importantly, at the center of Jimmy's character was his love and loyalty to the Church. Jimmy was a faithful member of Alpine Baptist Church where he loved the Lord and followed the gospel. He was a devoted Christian with strong spiritual beliefs that guided him and Stephanie as they become involved at Alpine as more than just parishioners. Jimmy & Stephanie formed undeniable bonds and life-long friendships through their altruistic actions, generosity, and commitment to making their community a better place and helping those truly in need. Jimmy took such pleasure in being part of the Church's Praise & Worship Band until he was physically unable. The legacy that Jimmy shared with this world was love for Christ, love for family, and love for peace. Jimmy's song may have ended, but his melody lingers on. "Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day... unseen, unheard, but always near, still loved, still missed and very dear." - Unknown
