Brian Patrick Van Allen, 46 of Jackson, New Jersey passed away on Monday, May 20, 2024, at his home.
Brian was born Wednesday, March 8, 1978 in Elizabeth, New Jersey. He served in the United States Army for several years right out of high school. He furthered his education earning an Associate's Degree from UMDNJ/Rutgers University, and then also earning a Bachelor's Degree from Boise State University, in Respiratory Care. Brian worked as a Respiratory Therapist, with the NJRA in Fairfield. Prior to that he worked at Saint Peter's University Hospital in New Brunswick as the evening coordinator. His passion was for the kids he worked with and bringing joy and dad jokes to everyone he met.
Brian traveled quite a bit in his life, spending time in New Jersey and also living in Colorado, Nevada and Georgia for a short period of time. He would meet Samantha Ortega in 2010 and the couple would spend 6 years together before becoming engaged. They married October 3, 2016 and started a family of their own. They settled in Jackson, NJ. He lived for his three beautiful children and did his very best to make sure they had a wonderful life.
Brian was a member of the Black Knight Bowbenders Archery Club in Jackson. In his spare time he enjoyed playing video games, and was one of the original fans of the Star Wars franchise, he also loved the Marvel Universe and created three children who equally loved both. Those were his hobbies but he had an unequaled drive to help everyone he came in contact with. He wanted nothing more in life than to help his patients and make people smile. But the most important thing in his life was his family.
Brian is predeceased by his mother Joyce Strazzella.
Brian is survived by his beloved wife of 7 years, Samantha, by his loving daughters, Amelia, Finnley, and Autumn, by his brother Albert and his wife Kimberly, niece Diana, and by many caring friends.

He was always Kind, Good Natured and never lost his temper on the Job. I worked with him at Matawan but we both worked at different time periods at St. Peter´s.Occasionally he would stay late ( I worked Nights and he worked Days ) and we would just talk. He always talked about his family and his children. Words cannot convey the Sorrow I am feeling right now. My prayers for Brian and his Family. Until we meet again Rest Well Brian
